Our team

On October 19th 2017, the fire that tore through the Kandwagi Palace Hotel tragically took my wife’s life, aged just 37.

She was truly unique; the craziest, kindest and warmest person you could ever hope to meet. Born into abject poverty on the border of Cambodia, at 13 years old she was sent to Bangkok to work in factory kitchen’s. In the years that followed she gain a high school education and became the local queen of Isan food. Throughout a life, loaded with adversity, she had an unrelenting love for live, love for people and selfless work ethic, simply put a human whirlwind. 

Hansa was the driving force behind our work with NGO’s, local community based charities, social enterprises and was leading our exploration of filming authentic Isan and indigenous food. 

Lanna Films continues her good work and eithos. Enjoy life, have fun and do something worthwhile.
